Sharlene Smith, Vice President of Operations Great Southern Region, McDonald’s USA, recently purchased a copy of the book, “Who Moved My Cheese for Teens,” by Dr. Spencer Johnson, M.D. for each of the Jobs for America’s Graduates Students at East St. John High School. As a follow-up to the book, the JAG group was invited to McDonald’s corporate office in Metairie for a “Who Moved My Cheese for Teens” workshop. The workshop, presented by training consultants and other members of the McDonald’s regional team, focused on change, conflict, self-brand and strategies for dealing with issues. Refreshments were available throughout the day and the students were treated to a wonderful buffet and coupons for various McDonald’s treats.
“This was a great academic and social event for the JAG group, and we certainly want to thank the McDonald’s corporate staff and their owner/
operator community for taking time from their busy schedule to be with us,” said Glenda Gaines, ESJHS JAG specialist.
