Uella Roussel Schexnaydre, 101, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was a native of Grand Point and lived the majority of her life in Destrehan.

She was the wife of the late Sylvan “Joe” Schexnaydre, daughter of the late Maurice Roussel and Rosala Louque, sister of the late Allen Roussel, Edwidge St. Pierre, Myrtle Prorries, Edwina St. Pierre, Etta Matherne, Earline Trapani and Rosabell Wilbaecher and the late Cleveland, Ferdinand, Matase and Auley Roussel. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation and services were held at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco on Thursday, April 21, 2011. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina. Family and friends are invited to send their condolences to www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.
