St. Joan of Arc Catholic School welcomed author Timothy Weeks. His presentation of “Goldie’s Search for Silver” to the students included interactive activities such as fishing with a cast net, hand-made by his father. Weeks expressed to the students that his love of fishing and nature inspired reading and appreciation of Louisiana treasures. Weeks encouraged the students to explore the joy of reading and creative design He also showed students how the illustrations of the books were created by combining hand painted pictures and computer graphics.
