Mary Areaux Maurin, 71, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

She was the beloved wife of Etienne (Nemour) Maurin and mother of Jimmy Maurin, Brenda Maurin Granier and the late Mary Ann M. Landry. She is also survived by four grandchildren.

She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace.

Services were held Monday, April 11, 2011, at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in LaPlace. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.
