Marathon College Intern Andy Panoff (right) helps ESJE fourth-graders (left to right) Dereyon Johnson, Randi Henderson, Devanshi Mistry, Michael Tarver and Jared Swanier make sun prints. By using special paper with a chemical coating that is sensitive to ultraviolet light, students make prints of objects placed on the light-sensitive paper. They also made bracelets with UV sensitive beads. Beads changed from colorless to different colors in the presence of UV light, showing the students that they need sunscreen to protect themselves.
