LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish officials are advising Reserve residents to minimize water usage while a construction crew works to repair a leaky sewer line.

Parish spokesperson Paige Braud said the leak in the main sewer line was discovered this morning and a crew from Boh Brothers Construction is working to repair the damage. She said the repairs should be complete by 10 a.m. Thursday.

“We are asking all Reserve residents, including business and schools to please reduce activities involving large amounts of water such as washing clothes and flushing toilets,” Braud said. “Please note that the water is safe for consumption.”
