Dance Unlimited of the River Parishes left their mark in Mobile, Ala. at the Star Systems Talent Competition. They entered 54 dances out of over 425 entries and took home nothing but gold or better. DU finished with 24 gold, 26 high gold, four platinum and 23 first place category winners. They placed 23 times in the Over All High Score Awards winning the Ultimate Achievement Award for Highest Score of the Day for 13 and over. DU received six Judges Choice Awards including – “Pretty as a Picture” – Emily Loupe; “Smiles for Miles” – Ha ley Verbois; “Super Smiles” – Julia Haslauer; “Super Cute” – Taylor Harding; “Great Face” – Alexis Keys; “Fierce & Fabulous” – MaCoi Hollins.

In the Mini Solo Division, Meredith Black was fifth Over All with “Business of Love.”

In the Junior Solo Division, DU won all five placements: first place – MaCoi Hollins “The Bird;” second place – Haley Verbois “Paper Moon;” third place – Katie Milligan “Here To Stay;” fourthplace – Skyla Rae Lewis “Love of God;” fifth place – Alexis Keys “The Time.”

In the Junior Solo Advanced Division, Jenna Bordelon was third Over All with “No Other Man.”

In Junior Duet/Trio, “Dream,” Skyla Rae Lewis and Haley Verbois were fifth Over All.

In 13 and Over Advanced Solos first Over All went to Janet Nelson in “I Am Your Child,” third Over All went to Kaitlyn Carcich for “Freckles.”

Third Runner Up for Teen Miss Superstar was Destiny Ponville with “The Way I Am.”

Fourth Over All Top Covergirl was Ali Workman.

Top Models went to: first place – MaCoi Hollins, second place – Alexis Keys, third place – Angelina Baldarez, fourth place – Claire Girardot and fifth place – McKenzie Mitchell.

In the Group Competition: Teen Small Group Advanced, second Over All went to “Everybody.” In the Teen Large Group Advanced; first Over All went to “Work,” second Over All went to “Move.” In the Senior Elite Small Group Division, first Over All went to “Book of Right” and second Over All went to “My Love.”

The Ultimate Achievement Award for the Highest Score of the Day in 13 and Over – Advanced went to “WORK” featuring MaQue Hollins, Victoria Pellerin, Ashleigh Keller, Hailee Weber, Angelle Pellerin, EnJolique Boyd, Janet Nelson, Savannah Loupe, MaCoi Hollins, Jenna Bordelon, Lundyn Cantillo and Caitlyn Champagne.
