Lutcher — When reviewing the policies and employee benefits at St. James Parish Hospital, it’s clear that the hospital’s most important resource is not its state-of-the-art campus or multimillion-dollar technology but its friendly, experienced team. St. James Parish Hospital actively works to reward and recognize employees through year-long events including Employee of the Quarter Awards, which are announced quarterly and celebrated with an annual banquet.
This year’s Employee of the Quarter Award Banquet was held to honor 2010 Employees of the Quarter, Debbie Blanchard, Dana Poche, Hollie Comardelle and Donna Naquin, who each earned the opportunity to celebrate an elegant evening with managers, family and close friends.
Debbie Blanchard, director of cardiopulmonary, was chosen as employee of the first quarter in 2010 for her willingness to step up in her department during a time of many challenges, facing each successfully and with a smile.
Dana Poche, outpatient coordinator, was selected as employee of the second quarter in 2010 for embodying the friendly and compassionate spirit of St. James Parish Hospital. Poche was praised for her ability
to multi-task and for her willingness to help with a variety of
needs.
Hollie Comardelle, respiratory therapist, held the title of employee of the third quarter in 2010 for her positive attitude and encouragement within her team. She was also commended for sharing that same passion and attitude with each and every patient.
Donna Naquin, pharmacy technician was selected as employee of the fourth quarter at St. James Parish Hospital. She was awarded
for her dedication to her job
beyond her duties. Naquin was applauded for her caring nature and willingness to help with any problem.
The Employee of the Quarter is nominated by other employees under criteria such as dedication, courtesy, respect and manager support. Mary Ellen Pratt, CEO of St. James Parish Hospital, praised all winners for not only going above and beyond their job descriptions, but most importantly for being team players and upholding the hospital’s mission of providing excellent, quality healthcare to patients. She also proudly referenced the overreaching description that was found throughout each nomination form, which was the ever-important “positive attitude.”
