Local makes honor society

Adrianne Cashio has been inducted into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Founded in 1923, the society is the nation’s oldest and largest honor society for first-year college and university students with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and rank in the upper 20 percent of their class. She is a freshman at Tulane University, double majoring in science and music, and a member of Tulane’s orchestra. Cashio is a summa cum laude graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School and the daughter of Chesley and Harold Cashio of LaPlace.
