Lutcher – Additional services and new, cutting-edge technology aren’t the only evidence of expansion at St. James Parish Hospital. In addition to St. James Parish Hospital’s mission of providing excellent quality and compassionate healthcare in the community, the hospital also promises to offer a leading, committed team. This team of experienced, friendly professionals has recently grown with the addition of the hospital’s new Director of Marketing, Kassie St.Pierre.

St. Pierre will help lead marketing efforts at the hospital through advertising, community educational events and public relations appearances. In addition to informing the public about the hospital’s services and new offerings, St. Pierre will form a working relationship with neighboring industries and hospitals and work to recruit the best and brightest physicians to the hospital with the intent of bringing more options and experience to patients. In addition, St. Pierre will work with several committees to help determine new and improved means of achieving optimum patient satisfaction, assist with the planning of corporate events and employee excellence programs and act as the hospital’s public information officer during emergency situations.

Mary Ellen Pratt, CEO of St. James Parish Hospital, believes the new full-time marketing position is essential to helping the hospital build relationships in the community.

“Maintaining exceptional relationships with our patients, physicians, residents, local businesses and industry is essential to our success. The creation of a full-time director of marketing position shows our commitment to enhancing communication between these groups, increasing our visibility and generating more feedback for how we can improve our services,” said Pratt.

St. Pierre is extremely excited to join such a quality, hardworking organization in her hometown.

“I have always appreciated the close-knit community we all enjoy and it has not taken long for me to see that friendly, compassionate nature throughout the hospital. There is definitely a reason so many well-educated, experienced staff members choose to come back home and work for St. James Parish Hospital.”

St. Pierre graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a concentration in advertising. She also received a minor in business administration and sociology. St. Pierre has five years of experience working with a wide range of local and national companies. She most recently won Baton Rouge’s Women in Media Award for Marketing and Events Coordinating and was responsible for a marketing portfolio that awarded the Ascension Chamber its Mid-Size Chamber of the Year title. St. Pierre stays busy during her free time through affiliations with the Leadership Ascension Program and local nonprofits such as March of Dimes. She and several team members will also be representing the hospital as members of the local Relay for Life Committee.
