Army Pfc. Erica L. Paliaro

Army Pfc. Erica L. Paliaro has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received instruction and training exercises in drill and ceremonies, Army history, core values and traditions, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, rifle marksmanship, weapons use, map reading and land navigation, foot marches, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers and tactics.

She is the daughter of Greg D. and Kelly S. Paliaro of Nottaway Drive, Destrehan.

Paliaro is a 2010 graduate of Destrehan High School.

Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Lizi Y. Wilkis Carela, a 1992 graduate of Hahnville High School, Hahnville, recently reported for duty at Navy Recruiting District New York, East Meadow, N.Y.

Wilkis Carela joined the Navy in December 1994.
