A Wetlands Reveillon is this Sunday, Dec. 5, from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Destrehan Plantation Mule Barn. Tickets are $25 ($35 at the door) and can be purchased by calling the Satellite Center 985-785-2080 or the Destrehan Plantation gift shop 985-764-9315. 

For the price of admission, receive a night of entertainment by local celebrity and entertainer, Amanda Shaw and the Des Allemands Elementary Cajun Dancers, one entry for a flat screen TV raffle and a fabulous Reveillon dinner spread prepared by the Satellite Center Culinary Arts team members. Attendees will also be able to participate in a fantastic silent auction containing weekend getaway packages in New Orleans, jewelery from local designers including Mignon Faget, artwork including a signed piece by famous Blue Dog artist George Rodrigue and sports memorabilia from the red hot New Orleans Hornets and the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints. 

All proceeds from the event are benefiting the LaBranche Wetland Watchers with the construction of the first public nature trail in St. Charles Parish.
