Carmel A. “Chin” Lovetro Jr., 78, of Destrehan passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010. He was a native of Norco and resident of Destrehan for the past 56 years.

He was the beloved husband of Agnes Beadle Lovetro; father of Dirk Lovetro (Lori), Bret Lovetro (Maria), Jude Overman (John), Grant Lovetro (Ines), Quinn Lovetro (Stephanie) and the late Lance Lovetro (Allyson Lovetro-Marrero); son of the late Carmel and Lucy Brettillo Lovetro; grandfather of Bret Lovetro Jr. (Katie), Lindsay Lovetro, Jason Lovetro, Britney Lovetro, Blaine Lovetro, Jordan Lovetro, Mallisa Lovetro, Ross Frioux, Ian Overman, Alex Lovetro and Kelcie Lovetro; and brother of the late Kenneth and Robert Lovetro.

Mr. Lovetro was the former owner of Chin’s Barber Shop in Norco for over 40 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan on Tuesday, Oct. 26, followed by interment in St. Charles Borromeo.
