On July 7, 15 summer interns from Marathon Petroleum demonstrated their community support by assisting with the painting of East St. John High School.

This activity is part of the Summer Intern Program Marathon Petroleum has developed to help teach students that supporting the local community is an important function of business today.

East St. John High School is one of Marathon’s adopted partners in education in St. John the Baptist Parish. The interns painted doors and benches along the breezeway near the school’s gymnasium. They also assisted with painting fire lanes located at the front of the school.

The interns enjoyed working on this community project and helping East St. John High School prepare for the upcoming school year.
