LAPLACE – Shaun Borne a student at Our Lady of Grace School, has been accepted into the People to People World Leadership Forum. Borne will join a select group of students in Washington, D.C., to study leadership and explore some of the United States’ most prominent monuments and institutions.

From Capitol Hill to the Smithsonian Institution, and from historic Gettysburg to the National Museum of American History, Borne will examine the characteristics of American leadership during times of national challenge and properity.

Borne was accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential. She is the daughter of Corey and Shalanda Borne of LaPlace and will be entering the seventh grade at Our Lady of Grace for the 2010-11 school year.
