A pageant well named

RESERVE – The Seventh Annual Queen of Hope Pageant was held recently at Riverside Academy in Reserve. The pageant was hosted by the Queen of Hope Relay for Life teams and all proceeds went to American Cancer Society’s St. John Parish Relay for Life. The 2010 Queen of Hope Royalty including Queen of Hope VII Leila Boudreaux and Teen Queen of Hope VII Janet Lee Nelson.

Leila Boudreaux is the 17-year-old daughter of Michael and Linda Boudreaux of LaPlace. She recently graduated from St. Charles Catholic High School and plans to attend Southeastern Louisiana University in the fall to major in Special Education. Leila also received the Photogenic award. Other winners include first runner-up MaQue Hollins of LaPlace, second runner-up and people’s choice and fashion winner, Victoria Pellerin of Montz, third runner-up and congeniality Katie Rylee of Ponchatoula, and fourth runner-up Paige St. Pierre of Norco.

Janet Lee Nelson is the 12-year-old daughter of Stephen and Staci Nelson of LaPlace. She will be attending Arch–

bishop Chapelle High School in the fall. Janet also received the People’s Choice and Fashion awards. Other winners include first runner-up and Congeniality Julie Polk of LaPlace, second runner-up and photogenic Macy Badeaux of Gonzales and third runner-up Courtney Keller of Reserve.
