Taking the first step into high school

LAPLACE – St. Charles Catholic High School announce that the following students, after successful completion of the eighth grade program at SCC, have been promoted to the ninth grade during a ceremony: Meah Babin, Keir Batiste, Benjamin Becnel, Ani Boudreaux, Luke Cali, Marialaina Carter, Julia Cupit, Alez Gonzalez, Jimmie Gooden, Jordan Hitt, Elise Jeandron, Patrick Juneaux, Brandon Klibert, Kathleen “Gracie” Millet, Whitney Mills, Jordan Miranda, Justin Ortego, Irielle Price, Hailey Specht, Julia Torres, Brittany Tregre, Brook Tregre, Emily Triche, Austin Troxler, Gregory Vicknair and Hunter Williams.

Academic excellence awards were awarded to the following students in the form of a scholarship toward their ninth grade tuition based on their grade point average:

Fourth

Gregory Vicknair, 4.40 GPA, $250

Kathleen Millet, 4.40 GPA, $250

Ani Boudreaux, 4.40 GPA, $250

Third

Julia Cupit, 4.60 GPA, $500

First

Marialaina Carter, 4.80 GPA, $1,000

Benjamin Becnel, 4.80 GPA, $1,000

The outstanding young lady and young man awards are given to one female

and one male in the eighth grade. Each student is selected according to the

following criteria: high moral character and outstanding Christian values, service to school and/or community and above

average academic

performance. The outstanding young lady is Gracie Millet and the outstanding young man Patrick

Juneau.
