Blast from the Past is a Facebook group started by Traci Howard to join people of the River Parishes who grew up during the 80s. This weekend the first Blast from the Past reunion will take place. There will be two events. The fist on Saturday night will be held at Tommy B’s on Main St. in LaPlace. It will be an adult-only event featuring live music by The Smashing Blondes, food and drinks from 7 p.m. – til. Anyone is invited to attend. On Sunday there will be a picnic in the Bonnet Carre Spillway on the Norco side from 1 p.m. – til. The picnic is open to both adults and kids. The picnic is “Bring your own everything: and will offer the opportunity for everyone to meet each others families.
