Students planning to enter the public school system in fifth or ninth grade during the 2010-2011 school year from private, parochial or home schooling will be given the opportunity to take the state-mandated LEAP test.
The summer test will be administered June 28-30 at a place and time to be determined. Parents of registered students will be contacted prior to testing.
A $35 testing fee (payable in money order, cashiers check or credit/debit card) will be charged. The fee is refundable if the student enrolls in the St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools by Oct. 1, 2010.
A registration form may be picked up at the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board Office located at 118 West 10th St. in Reserve or at any St. John the Baptist Parish Library.
The form and registration fee must be returned to Kim Scioneaux at the school board office beginning Monday, May 31, with a deadline of 4 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2010.
