Judge Reynolds returns to LaPlace

Honorable Judge Penny Brown Reynolds returns to her hometown of LaPlace to preach at a special Mother’s Day Worship Service and sign copies of her new book, “7 Steps to Peace of Mind,”on Sunday, May 9, at 8:30 a.m. at her home church of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 127 East 3rd St., LaPlace, where Rev. Dr. Freddie L. Howard serves as pastor.
Judge Brown Reynolds, who is a licensed and ordained minister, completed her seminary studies from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta Georgia in 2008, where she finished first in her class. She serves as the First Lady of Midway Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta with her husband, Rev. Edward S. Reynolds, pastor.
Judge Brown Reynolds has served as a trial court judge in Atlanta and is an Emmy-nominated executive producer and television personality. Judge Brown Reynolds presided over the nationally syndicated television court show, “Family Court with Judge Penny.” Additionally, she was selected as one of America’s leading intellectuals by CNN and Essence Magazine to give voice for the series, “Reclaiming the Dream,” in association with the Black in America CNN special.
Currently, Judge Brown Reynolds is touring the country with the release of her new book. She will be featured at the 2010 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, where she is highlighted as a keynote speaker and will be signing copies of her book. She will also be featured at the 100th Anniversary Conference for the National Urban League in Washington, D.C., to be held later this summer.
