LAPLACE – Budding student artists in St. John Parish are invited to show off their coloring skills for the chance to win cash prizes and a pizza party for their class.

The L’Observateur is sponsoring a coloring contest in honor of Earth Day celebrations this week. Check out page 3 of the Earth Day section inside today’s paper to find the special page.

The winning entry to the contest will win $75, along with a pizza party for his or her entire class. The second place winner will receive $50, and the third place winner will receive $25.

Drop off or mail all entries to the L’Observateur office, 116 Newspaper Drive in LaPlace, by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 30 to be eligible for the judging in the contest.
