HAHNVILLE – Authorities in St. Charles Parish are looking for three men who allegedly entered the home of a 63-year-old Destrehan woman early Monday but left without taking anything.

Capt. Pat Yoes, a public information officer for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office, said the woman was in the living room of her Parlange Drive home when she saw the men enter through the back door and go into a bedroom.

Yoes said the suspects, who appeared to be unarmed, were dressed in black long sleeved shirts with white T-shirts wrapped around their heads and handkerchiefs covering their faces.

He said the home’s back door appeared to be unlocked, and the men did not force their way into the residence.

As the suspects entered the bedroom, the homeowner called police.

Yoes said when the phone rang, the men fled the home before they could take anything or harm the homeowner.

Investigators say the men were traveling in an older model gold Chevy Caprice with a white front driver’s side fender and no tail lights.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information on the incident should contact Detective Jeremy Pitchford at 985-783-1135.
