LAPLACE – Total Choice Federal Credit Union held a grand reopening of its LaPlace branch Saturday, but the ribbon-cutting ceremony was just one of the events that attracted a crowd of local community members.

Music pumped, jambalaya, hot dogs and soft drinks flowed and children bounced in the parking lot of the brand new facility under sunny skies and pleasant temperatures.

Inside the bank, youngsters could get a set of fingerprints made courtesy of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, and attendees could win an array of prizes just by spinning a wheel.

The new building replaced TCFCU’s older branch, which was housed in a former sales office.

Said Chairman of the Board Tom Groff, “We’re trying to do better business in LaPlace. We want to be a part of LaPlace growing.”
