LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish authorities are seeking information on a man and woman who forced their way into a Reserve trailer home and robbed the resident at gunpoint early last week.

Capt. Dane Clement, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office, said the suspects approached the 41-year-old resident as he was leaving his trailer in the 200 block of Cynthia Circle for work around 6 a.m. last Monday.

According to a report on the incident, as the man opened his trailer door, the female suspect pulled out a small chrome handgun and ordered him back into the home. Clement said both suspects entered the trailer with the victim.

The couple ordered the victim to the floor, Clement said. When he was down on the ground, the female suspect stole the victim’s wedding ring, cell phone and wallet, which contained an unknown amount of cash.

The report said while the female suspect was robbing the victim, the male suspect rummaged through the trailer but did not take anything else. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Clement said the female suspect was well groomed and wore a blue jean jacket. She was described as medium build and about 5-feet, 6-inches tall.

Clement said the male suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt, red sweatpants and white shoes. The victim said the male was also medium build and about 5 feet, 11 inches tall.

Anyone with information regarding this aggravated burglary should call Detective Scott Guillory with the St. John Sheriff’s Office at 985-652-6338.
