HAHNVILLE – The father of a man jailed in connection with a string of burglaries in St. Charles Parish and surrounding areas was arrested Monday for his involvement in the heists.

Errol R. Falcon Sr., 71, of 399 Marcia Drive in Luling, was booked into the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center Monday evening on six counts of possession of stolen property over $500, two counts of possession misdemeanor and two counts of possession of stolen property, said Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange, a public information officer for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office. Falcon’s bonding information was not immediately available pending a court appearance Wednesday.

Authorities believe Falcon assisted his son, Errol R. Falcon Jr., 31, in several burglaries in St. Charles and Jefferson parishes throughout late November and early December.

LaGrange said surveillance video captured both men carrying some of the stolen goods into Falcon’s Marcia Drive home. During a raid of the home last week, deputies discovered more than $100,000 worth of stolen goods that was taken during the robberies.

Several flat screen televisions, stacks of DVD movies, video games, assorted sports memorabilia and jewelry were recovered from the home.

Authorities also arrested the younger Falcon’s girlfriend, 21-year-old Tracie A. Wright, as another accomplice to the burglaries.

Sheriff Greg Champagne said the couple could be involved in as many as 15 burglaries across the two-parish region.

LaGrange said the elder Falcon is a career criminal with an extensive wrap sheet that dates back to the 1950s. He has prior arrests for car burglaries, simple batteries and indecent exposure complaints.

The younger Falcon also has a record that includes past burglary and shoplifting arrests. He is also a registered sex offender, Champagne said.

Falcon Jr. and Wright have two children together, Champagne said.
