Diane Coleman Alford, resident of Houston for 40 years left this life on Sunday, Nov. 29 2009, at her home.

Daughter of the late Doyle and Williemenia Coleman. Wife of the late Tommie Alford Sr. Mother of Tomeka Marie Coleman, Tommie Alford Jr. and Gina Renee Harris. Grandmother of Kameisha Rena Coleman, MyKenzie Ayania Coleman, Tomya Latrice Coleman, Tomanesha Coleman, Tommie Coleman Jr. III, Regile Damien Harris, Dajour Treyquan Harris, Taj Amarian Harris, Tajae Amari Harris. Sister of Doyle Coleman Jr., Samson, Clayton (Butch), Chester Coleman, Gail C. Hayes, Ruth A. Fisher and Ruby A. Johnson. Also survived by a host of sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A native of Reserve. Age 61 years.

Relatives and friends of the family and the Fifth Ward Class of 1960, the employees of Ocshner Hospital, River Parishes Hospital, Bollinger Shipyard, Randa, Matherne’s, Wal-Mart and Casa are invited to attend the funeral services on today at noon at New Pilgrim B.C. in Reserve. Interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery. Visitation of the body from 10 a.m. until service.
