St. Joan of Arc Catholic School fourth-grade Mission Club members began collecting new shoes, socks and shoe laces for the Shoes for Orphan Souls. This program provides new shoes and socks to orphans and at-risk children in the United States and throughout the world.

The Mission Club members will continue to collect shoes throughout the school year. Those wishing to help with this effort may drop off their donations to the St. Joan of Arc School office, 412 Fir Street, LaPlace.
