HAHNVILLE – St. Charles Parish authorities said Monday a Des Allemands man who was wanted in connection with an Oct. 30 armed robbery in Boutte was taken into custody Friday afternoon.

Roosevelt Ingram, 30, of 132 Norman Ave., was arrested by Gretna Police just after 12 p.m. Friday, said Capt. Pat Yoes, public information officer for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office. Yoes did not say whether Ingram was charged with any criminal activity in the Gretna area.

Ingram, who was booked into the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility in Killona on charges of armed robbery and carrying an illegal weapon, is the second person to be charged in the robbery of two men, which took place outside of a home on Kinler Street. Yoes said Jarrod G. Washington, 18, of Boutte, was arrested just after the robbery took place.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, Washington and Ingram showed up at the victims’ home about 6:48 p.m., knocked on the door and demanded money from the victims at gunpoint. The men handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, two cell phones and a set of keys.

The men then fled the scene.

It was not known Monday if any of the victims’ belongings were recovered.

Yoes said both Ingram and Washington remain in jail on $100,000 bonds.
