Staff Report
Either the chilly weather kept them away, or they are too glued to their computers to leave the house, but a majority of respondents to last week’s poll question said they did not attend this year’s Andouille Festival.
Of those that did make it out to the fair grounds, the festival’s namesake was the top attraction. Almost a quarter of respondents said their favorite part of this year’s Andouille Festival was the food.
What’s more, respondents must not be big fans of visceral thrills as no one chose “rides” as their favorite part of this year’s festival.
This week’s question was “What was your favorite part of this year’s Andouille Festival?”
The results of online voting were:
• 23 percent of respondents chose “Food.”
• 9 percent of respondents chose “Music.”
• 0 percent of respondents chose “Rides.”
• 2 percent of respondents chose “Crafts and other vendors.”
• 5 percent of respondents chose “Children’s activities.”
• 61 percent of respondents chose “Did not attend the festival.”
This week’s question: With the recent scandals involving former St. John Parish President Bill Hubbard and former Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price, political corruptions has been all over the headlines. Why do you think corruption is so prevalent in the political sphere?
