HAHNVILLE — Authorities in St. Charles Parish arrested a Destrehan man who was found with several sexually explicit videos involving children during a search of his home Friday morning, said a spokesman for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Chad Fitts, 36, of 309 River Point Drive, was booked into the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility in Killona on charges of possession of pornography involving juveniles, said Capt. Pat Yoes, spokesman for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office.

Fitts’ arrest came after a state attorney general’s office task force executed a search warrant on his home. Yoes said a St. Charles Sheriff’s Office deputy is a member of the task force.

Yoes said Fitts was released from custody Friday afternoon after posting a $10,000 cash bond.
