West Jefferson spoiled the end of West St. John’s non-district schedule by dropping the Rams 21-6 on Thursday night at Hoss Memtsas Stadium.

Glenn Coleman was the star of the game, catching seven passes for 207 yards and all three of quarterback Shawn Hoye’s touchdown passes.

West St. John will begin district play on Friday night against 2008 Class 1A runner-up Christian Life.

Dray Joseph’s 56-yard pass to Ravon Owens in the third quarter cut a two touchdown West Jefferson lead to 14-6. Joseph passed for 88 yards and rushed for 77 on 13 carries.

Hoye’s 57-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter effectively put the Rams away.

West Jefferson led 14-0 at halftime.

West Jefferson (2-3) outgained WSJ (2-3) 377-183 in total yardage. 270 of WJHS’s yards came through the air, though the Rams intercepted three Hoye passes.
