In a story that ran recently in L’Observateur concerning St. John Parish’s new animal shelter, a parish official indicated representatives from the Louisiana SPCA had looked at and approved the plans before the project went to construction.
Katherine LeBlanc, a representative from the LASPCA, said no one from the organization had given approval on the project.
St. John spokesman Buddy Boe confirmed, however, representatives from the American SPCA toured the facility and granted their approval on the project.
