Ascension Community Theatre is presenting Arthur Miller’s masterpiece, “The Crucible,” directed by Heidi Alford Frederic.

About The Crucible:

Set in 1690’s Salem, Massachusetts, “The Crucible” tells the story of what happens when a fear-ridden town puts truth on trial. Based around the true events of the Salem Witch Trials, “The Crucible” has cemented itself in the repertoire of American Theater as a classic tale of allegations, adultery and misconception. What will one man do to protect his name? What will one woman do to protect her family? And how far will a town go when faced with complete disaster? In one of the best written dramas in American literature, Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” plunges deep into the human psyche and weighs true good and evil.

The show runs November 5 to 8 and 12 to14 and will include a daytime performance for local high school students. Call 225.647.1230 for information.
