Mollie Eloise “Ganky” White, age 81, passed away on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009,

at 10:20 p.m. from the North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She lived in

LaPlace and has lived in Hammond for the past two years.

She is survived by two sons; Billy White Jr. and his wife Pamela and John

White and his wife Ann. Three daughters: Glenda Jones and her late husband,

Philip; JoEllen Maurin and her husband, Roland Jr., and Joy Denise Matherne

and her husband, Noah Jr. One brother, James Carter and one sister, Carolyn

Mai. Thirteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.

Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. from the H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. Services were held at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home with burial in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in St. Rose with Rev. Rodney Taylor officiating.
