Willie Morris of Garyville, age 76 years, departed this life on Thursday, August 6,

2009, at River Parishes Hospital, LaPlace. Son of the late Flossre Morris. Beloved husband of Sarah Lee Ross Morris for 52 years. Father of Kerry (Wanda), Michael (Fontella), Monica (Royal), Sheryl (Timothy), Troy, Brandon,

Gregory and the late Jerry Morris. Brother of Doris Robertson, Margaret Harper and the late Audrey Batiste. Brother-in-law of Roy Baloney (Beverly) and Ernest Green. Devoted cousin of Carol Mae and Raymond Jean-Batiste. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and

friends.

A native of LaPlace and a life long resident of Garyville.

A Funeral Celebration was held on Friday, August 14, 2009, at noon from the St. Mark B.C., 132 Marquez St., Mt. Airy. Rev. Oscar Nelson, officiating. Visitation at the church after 9:30 a.m. Final viewing before services. Visitation on Thursday,

August 13, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. from the Baloney Funeral Home, LLC – 399 Earl Baloney Dr., Garyville. Interment in St. John Memorial Garden Cemetery, LaPlace. The Baloney Funeral Home handled arrangements.
