LAPLACE — A 45-year old Reserve man was taken into custody Thursday for allegedly exposing himself to two juveniles during an incident on July 13, according to a release from the St. John Sheriff’s Office.

Timothy Jones, of 248 27th St., was arrested at his home just after 10:20 a.m. Thursday and booked on charges of indecent behavior with juveniles, said Lt. Andy Breaux, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office. As of Friday, Jones was being held in the Sherman Walker Correctional Facility in LaPlace in lieu of $15,150 bond. He also faces separate charges of being a fugitive of the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office for an unrelated incident.

Breaux said deputies received a call around 10 p.m. on July 13 regarding an incident in which Jones allegedly exposed himself to two girls. A report from the Sheriff’s Office said the girls, ages 8 and 9, told their parents about what happened.

Investigators believe the incident took place at an undisclosed Reserve residence at some point during the previous evening. The caller identified Jones as the suspect and, Breaux said, Jones was later arrested on a warrant.
