Albert Sidney Brown, III

Albert Sidney Brown III, 84, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, from respiratory complications. He was the beloved husband of Juanita Stansbury Brown for 63 years. Mr. Brown was born in Opelousas and lived in LaPlace for 30 years, then was a resident of Lacombe, La., for the past 23 years. He served as an Army MP in WWII and retired from Shell Chemical, Norco, in 1983. He is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Ted) Norris of Lugoff, S.C., and Janine (Mike) McDougall and Aline Brown of Lacombe, and one son, Jake (Dawn) Brown IV of LaPlace. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one sister, Elaine Montegut of LaPlace, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life and memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 28. Memorials may be made to any charity benefiting the children of fallen soldiers.
