St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Wayne Jones made the announcement last week that one of the major players in the parish’s drug trade, Anthony Belvin, had been arrested … busted in the act of selling his illicit goods.
Belvin’s arrest was executed after several months’ surveillance by law enforcement … but the key to the story was that the investigation was triggered following a tip from a neighbor.
And it’s time for more of to open our eyes — and our mouths to police.
As Pastor Donald August, Sr. pointed out: “We know who they are, we know what they’re doing and we know where they’re doing it.”
Let’s help the cops put a stop to “it.”
