With great sadness and much love, the family of Joyce Babin Trosclair announce her passing from this life into the hands of our Heavenly Father. She was taken from this life on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner. She was 77 years young, a lifelong resident of Lutcher. She was the mother and mother-in-law of Sandy and Michael Roussel of Lutcher, E. J. “Bubby” Trosclair of Jackson, Miss., Ronnie and Vickie Trosclair of Gonzales and Joy Bourgeois of Paulina and sister of Emilie Keller, Betty Richard, Inez Tucker and Stanley Babin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Elmore Trosclair, parents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Babin, brothers Michael and Joseph Babin Jr. and sister Margie Babin.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Paulina at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Visitation will be held at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until funeral time. Entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum immediately following.
