Riverside saw its season end last Thursday at the hands of McGehee, which advanced to the regional round of theDivision III  playoffs with a 8-1 victory at Pan American Stadium at City Park.

McGehee, the tournament’s No. 6 seed, will face off against E.D. White in the second round, after the Cardinals defeated St. Charles 2-1 on Friday night.

Madden Wilbert scored four goals to lead McGehee (17-3-3). Amy Preston scored three. Emily Smith scored the first goal of the match.

Heidi Garcich scored the lone goal for the Rebels nearly midway though the first half, which tied the match.

McGehee would add four more first half goals, including two at the tail end of the first half, within the final minute.

Riverside, the No. 27 seed,  finishes its season with a record of 4-7-1.
