Lynn John Hymel Jr., age 60, died on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, after battling cancer. He was a Vietnam Veteran. A native of Convent and a resident of Kenner, he is survived by his daughter Christie Ocmond and her husband Brandon of LaPlace, three grandchildren Paige, Ethan and Aiden Ocmond and sister Barbara Bergeron of Lutcher.

He was preceded in death by his mother Vivian Tassin Hymel and his father Lynn John Hymel Sr.

Services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred. You may sign the guest book at www.roselynnfuneralhome.com.
