Clara Brown-Herbert departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at River Parishes Hospital of Laplace. Beloved wife of Charles “Fatty” Herbert of Edgard. Loving mother of Myron Herbert, Brian (Shirdonna) Herbert and Trina Mayho of Edgard and Carl (Vanessa) Herbert Sr. of Thibodaux. Daughter of the late Thomas and Alma Johnson-Brown. Sister of Milton (Julia) Brown, Aldonia Grows, Josephine (Chatman) Jackson and the late Thelma Jarrow and Caldonia Davis. Sister-in-law of Dinnel (Rita) Herbert, Jerry Jarrow, Marion Herbert, Gloria Grows, Shirley Oakes, Veronica Herbert and the late Oscar Grows, Walter Grows Sr., Lawrence Davis Sr., Larry Oakes, Warren, John Sr. and Claudell and Brenda S. Herbert. Daughter-in-law of the late John and Orena Herbert. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A native and life long resident of Edgard. Age 65 years.

Visitation and services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard. Interment was in Church Cemetery.
