Arceneaux

Annette Schexnayder Arceneaux passed away on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at 3:23 p.m. at River Parishes Hospital. Age 96. A native of Paulina and resident of Gramercy. She was Catholic. She was a volunteer member of the St. James Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include sons Calvin Arceneaux of LaPlace, Lawrence Arceneaux and his wife, Gayle of Gramercy, LA; Carroll Arceneaux and his wife Joyce of Miami, Dale Arceneaux and his wife Donna of Gramercy and David Arceneaux and his wife Lydia of Sorrento, daughters Betty Kilburn and her husband Leroy of Avondale and Linda Roussel and her husband Gilson of Gramercy, 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Senac J. Arceneaux, parents Onezime Schexnayder and Leontine Babin Schexnayder, one brother, five sisters, daughter-in-law Louise Arceneaux, two grandsons Lawrence Joseph Arceneaux Jr. and Eric Paul Arceneaux and one great-great-grandson Samuel A. Saltlamachia Jr.

Visitation and services were held on Monday, Feb. 2, at the Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy. Interment followed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to Jobe Arceneaux, 10038 River Run Estate Drive, St. Amant, LA 70774 in care of Chans or Alida Arceneaux to assist family for Hydrocephalus expenses.
