John “Johnny” Barraco Jr. entered eternal rest on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at the age of 52. Beloved husband of Trudie Montz Barraco for more than 30 years and father of David Barraco. Son of John Barraco Sr. and the late Betty P. Barraco, stepson of Wendy Barraco. Brother of Marilyn Morris (Gary), Kathy “Kat” Trepagnier (the late George Jr.) and Donald “Donnie” Barraco (Vickie), step-brother of Amber Ropas, son-in-law of Keither Montz and the late Wallace Montz and brother-in-law of Chris (Verlin), Brent (Darlene) and Eric (Sherra) Montz.

A dearly beloved uncle who will be dearly missed by Adam, Amy, Richard, Lori, Jay, Stephanie, Kristie, Ashley, John, Alex, Andy, Chris Jr., Trude, Sadie, Buddy and Kristin. Johnny was a native of Norco and a former resident of Gramercy and resident of Prairieville for the past three years.

Visitation and services were held on Friday, Jan. 30, at the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Gramercy. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina. Friends and family are invited to send their thoughts and condolences to www.mem.com
