A Welding student at Louisiana Technical College in Reserve works to weld a groove into a pipe for a fitting. The student is a participant in a class that is teaching a younger generation of industrial workers a skill that is in high demand in the workforce. Welding Instructor Chris Weber said the class is helping to replenish a workforce that is constantly losing quality craftsment to retirement, while also keeping those workers in St. John Parish and in Louisiana.
