Ralph Lawrence LaBauve Sr., a decorated Marine Corps Veteran serving in the Korean War Chosen Few Reservoir and Purple Heart recipient, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at the age of 76. He was a native New Orleanian, residing there for 73 years, and in Destrehan for the past 3 years. He was the beloved husband of Lucy Benfatti LaBauve for 54 years. Loving father of Ralph L. LaBauve Jr., Louise L. Findley and Leslie L. Brady. Father-in-law of Jane Schultz LaBauve, Kevin M. Brady and Lee A. Findley Sr. Grandfather of Stacey A. LaBauve, Jason M. Garrison, Jonathan S. Garrison, Ryan L. LaBauve, Chris M. Brady and Katie M. Brady. Great-grandfather of Kelsey M. Garrison. Son of the late Louise Perrot LaBauve and Winfred R. LaBauve. Brother of Winnifred L. Helffrich, Shirley L. Rodi, Albert LaBauve Sr. and the late Rita L. Triplett, Madeline L. Besson, Louis LaBauve, Mary Louise LaBauve and Wilfred LaBauve. Also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation and services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan.
