For week of Dec. 21 – Dec. 27

Paul Cupit, St. Charles (SOC) – Not many will ever have the opportunity to pull off the feat Cupit did last Tuesday. In St. Charles’ 7-=0 win over Helen Cox, Cupit was the winning goalkeeper, as well as the game’s leading scorer. After leaving the net with a 3-0 lead after a half, Cupit played on the offensive side in the second and scored three goals. In the process, he helped SCC earn its first win of the season.

Reyna Lubin, St. Charles (SOC) – The Comets’ dominant senior scorer came up big again last Monday, scoring four goals as St. Charles topped Destrehan for the third time this season, 5-1. The Comets are off to perhaps their hottest start ever at 9-2-2, and haven’t lost in December. Lubin and the Comets have suffered only two losses, each at the hands of Vandebilt Catholic, the defending Division II champions.
