Lutheran Church of the Galiliean announces advent and Christmas schedule

The Lutheran Church of the Galilean at 3404 Highway 51, LaPlace wishes to extend a open invitation to all residents of the St. John the Baptist Parish to their scheduled worship services for Advent beginning Wednesday evening, December 3 beginning at 6 PM with a light sandwich / soup dinner followed by worship at 7 PM. Each of the following Wednesday evenings, December 10 and 17, there will be dinners and worship services at the same times as above … also open to the public.

On Wednesday evening, December 24, at 7PM there will be a candle light worship service to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. This is worship service is also open to the public.

The following morning, December 25, at 10AM there will a special Christmas Day service of songs and readings to continue the celebration of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. This worship service is also open to the public.

The Central branch will celebrate the holiday season with a series of family oriented Christmas movies. Join us as we present “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas”, starring Disney’s characters, including Mickey Mouse on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, December 18th, we will show “The Muppet Christmas Carol” also at 6:30 p.m. Families are invited to come out and enjoy these timeless classics.
