Ascension of Our Lord third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students recently participated in the St. John Industrial Group Art Contest. With over 500 entries, four of the AOL students were named winners. These winners along with other River Parish school winners were honored at a breakfast held by the SJIG. Both student winners and their teachers were awarded Wal-Mart gift cards.

Winners are: Cami Hymel 1st place 5th grade division, Victoria Fernandez 2nd place 5th grade division, Emily Bergeron 2nd place 6th grade division and Lauren Douroux 2nd place 5th grade division. Cami Hymel’s artwork was featured in the St John Industrial Group’s annual report publication.
