Guerrero

Irene C. Guerrero passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008, at the age of 75. She was the beloved wife of Eluterio “Chick” Guerrero and the mother of Lupe Torres (wife Dee), Diana Tambunga (husband Jose), Linda “Susie” Corcoran (husband Edward “Blue”), Irene Fuselier (husband Perry) and two late sons Louis “Freddie” Lucio and Tony M. Guerrero. Grandmother of eight, Alcadia T. Robert, Consuelo Tambunga, Angel and Louis Lucio, Maria Alvarez, Ashley Guerrero, Taylor and Ashley Fuselier and great-grandmother of Tony Alvarez. Guerrero was a native of Houston, Texas, and a long time resident of Metairie.

Visitation and services were held at Greenwood Funeral Home in New Orleans on Thursday, September 25. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.

Millet

Kenneth “Doc” Millet, age 47 and a native of LaPlace and resident of Loranger, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He began his career as a junior member of the LaPlace Fire Department and later volunteered with 8th Ward Fire Department in Robert. Doc was a former employee of Payne and Keller and of Bayou Steel Corporation. He was employed with Shell Norco, GO-1 unit, for the past 18 years, where he also served as a firefighter and member of the emergency responder team.

Doc is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dawn Matherne Millet and three daughters, Brynn, Blaire and Bryanne Millet.  He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn Hagg Millet; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Karen Millet, Mark and Casey Millet; sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon and Kent Miano, Kathy Perret; mother-in-law, Emily V. Matherne; Father-in-law and his wife, Gary Matherne and Marie.  Doc also leaves behind twelve adoring nieces and nephews, as well as, one great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert “Boe” Millet and maternal grandmother, Lillian “Yan” Hagg.

Services were held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond on Thursday, October 2. Entombment was in Rose Memorial Mausoleum.

Beadle

Alva Waguespack Beadle on Monday, September 29, 2008, at 4:15 a.m. Beloved wife of Daniel W. Beadle for 58 years. Loving mother of Janet Doisher and husband Eddie of LaPlace, Iris Tamplain and husband Baylis (BeeBe) of Reserve, Michael Beadle and wife Sonya of Denham Springs, Charles Beadle of Reserve, Randy Beadle of Maurepas, Sharon Kell and husband Tracy of Paulina, Danielle Cornett and husband Kenny of Head of Island, Alva Anne Childress and husband Lavell of Brittany, Allison Barado and husband Winston Sr. of Gonzales. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Sister of Helen Klibert of Reserve, Lolita Martinez (Sis) of Raceland and Winton Waguespack Jr. of Walker. Daughter of the late Winton and Lolita Waguespack. She was preceded in death by one infant great-grandchild. Age 76 years. A native and resident of Reserve.

Visitation and services were held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve on Wednesday, October 1. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.

Lainez

Josefina Lainez on Friday, September 26, 2008, at 4:07 p.m. Beloved wife of Tiburcio Lainez. Mother of Vilma Gay, Augusto Chicas, Leonel Chicas, Hugo Chicas, Carlos Lainez, Martha Guzman and Wilfredo Lainez. Grandmother of Ondina Trigueros, Geraldina and Ivette Kunkel and 18 other grandchildren. Great-grandmother of Jennifer Trigueros, Savannah Maus, Dylan Pete and 11 other great-grandchildren. Age 90 years. A native of Honduras and a resident of LaPlace for the past 25 years.

Visitation and services were held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Thursday, October 2. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.

LeBoeuf

Joseph Harry LeBoeuf passed away on Sunday, September 28, at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve. He was 84 years old and a native of Lions, La. He was a resident of Lutcher. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Poche LeBoeuf and father and father-in-law of Chris and Maureen LeBoeuf of Thibodaux and Emelie (Tootsie) and Tom Larsen of Ponchatoula. Grandfather of Christopher LeBoeuf of Thibodaux, Hollie Zeringue of Gramercy, Stacey Roussel of Sugarland, Texas, and Brett Larsen of Monroe. Great grand-father of Caleb Zeringue, Emelie and Jessie Clare Roussel, Phoebe and Benjamin Joseph LeBoeuf and Remy Larsen. Son of the late Agatha Michel LeBoeuf and Joseph H. LeBoeuf and brother of Rosemary L. Roussel and Russell LeBoeuf. A life member of the East St. James V.F.W. Post 5852, X-POW, D.A.V. Life member. Retired from Kaiser Chemical & Aluminum.

Visitation and services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Paulina on Wednesday, October. Entombment in St. Joseph’s.
